This week's poem - To My Son, My Own Self...

I am here,
Always available at your nearest reach,
Never to teach, nor to preach.

I am here,
Always to rejoice, to celebrate,
Just to adore, acclaim and to accolade your existence.

I am here,
Ever respecting your utmost freedom,
Never to intrude, never to obstruct your own unfoldment.

I am here,
With and within you,
Ever connected by something invisible,
Yet ever tangible, The Thread Tivine.

I am here,
To listen to the faintest flutter,
To answer the slightest call even unuttered.

I am here,
At your nearest reach, you are never alone,
Don’t get isolated, don’t be closed.

I am here,
Most of the time,
Silent and mute,
constantly vibrating,
An eloquence subtler then words.

Even if  the destiny may drift me away, I will be here, ever near,
As one always available whenever you need,
Ever present, omniscient and full of bliss…..

- Rajendra Shukla
07.09.2007.

(This is perhaps the only poem written by The Poet in English. As we were discussing yesterday, there is "Father's Day", but is there is "Son's Day" too ? This poem is more appropriate for "Son's Day" - Dhaivat)
